Founded by brothers, David Rudman and Adam Rudman, Spiffy Pictures is a creative development and production company specializing in both animated and live-action puppet-based entertainment for kids and families.
Known for its whimsical humor- and music-filled shows, the inventive award-winning Chicago-based company has created, produced, written, and directed series for PBS KIDS, Nickelodeon, Disney, MTV, Comedy Central, Sesame Street and Warner Brothers. Their projects include PBS KIDS’ critically acclaimed DonkeyHodie, a co-production with Fred Rogers Productions; PBS KIDS’ Emmy® Award-nominated and Environmental Media Award-winning animated series Nature Cat; Nick Jr.’s Emmy®Award and Prix Jeunesse-nominated Jack’s Big Music Show; Disney’s Emmy® Award-nominated Bunnytown; and Nick Jr.’s Parent’s Choice Award-winning Curious Buddies. Adam Rudman
Co-Founder
Emmy® Award-winning writer Adam Rudman is co-founder of Spiffy Pictures. A prolific writer, Rudman’s credits range from classic cartoons and puppet-based live-action television series to children’s books and short films. He is a six-time Emmy® Award-winner for his work on Sesame Street, Tom & Jerry, Scooby-Doo! Adventures: The Mystery Map and Cyberchase.
Rudman currently serves as co-creator, executive producer and head writer on PBS KIDS’ hit series, Donkey Hodie, a live-action puppet series produced in partnership with Fred Rogers Productions. He is also co-creator, executive producer and head writer for the Emmy Award-nominated and Environmental Media Award-winning animated series Nature Cat for PBS KIDS. His past credits include co-creator, executive producer and head writer on Nick Jr.’s Emmy Award-nominated Jack’s Big Music Show, Disney’s Emmy Award-nominated Bunnytown, and Nick Jr.’s Curious Buddies.
Rudman’s additional work includes authoring The Search for the Power Orb, Scholastic’s first book based on PBS KIDS’ hit series Cyberchase. He also wrote and produced the award-winning short film Notes, starring late Blues legend Clarence “Gatemouth” Brown.
Rudman resides in Highland Park, IL and is a graduate of Lehigh University with a degree in American Studies.
David Rudman

Emmy® Award-nominated producer, director, writer and puppeteer David Rudman is co-founder of Spiffy Pictures. A renowned Muppet performer, Rudman is the puppeteer for Sesame Street’s Cookie Monster, Baby Bear and The Two-Headed Monster, and The Muppets’ Scooter, Janice and Beaker.
Rudman currently serves as co-creator, executive producer, director, writer and puppeteer on PBS KIDS’ hit series, Donkey Hodie, a live-action puppet series produced in partnership with Fred Rogers Productions. Rudman is also co-creator, executive producer, director and character designer for the Emmy Award-nominated and Environmental Media Award-winning animated series Nature Cat for PBS KIDS. His past credits include co-creator, executive producer, director and performer on Nick Jr.’s Emmy Award-nominated Jack’s Big Music Show, Disney’s Emmy Award-nominated Bunnytown, and Nick Jr.’s Curious Buddies. He also served as a producer and director, and performed Scooby-Doo in Scooby-Doo!: The Mystery Map.
Rudman’s numerous television credits as a Muppet performer include The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and several appearances on Saturday Night Live and the 42nd Annual Kennedy Center Honors. His film credits include Muppets Take Manhattan, Labyrinth, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Muppet Christmas Carol, Elmo in Grouchland, The Muppets, and Muppets Most Wanted.
Rudman resides in Highland Park, IL and is a graduate of University of Connecticut’s Dramatic Arts program.
Caroline Bandolik

Emmy® Award-nominated producer Caroline Bandolik is vice president of production for Spiffy Pictures. A veteran producer in educational media for children, Bandolik currently serves as supervising producer on PBS KIDS’ hit series, Donkey Hodie, a live-action puppet series produced in partnership with Fred Rogers Productions. She also currently serves as producer on the Emmy Award-nominated and Environmental Media Award-winning animated series Nature Cat for PBS KIDS.
Bandolik’s additional producing credits include Nickelodeon’s Frankie & Frank, Martha Speaks and Arthur for WGBH/PBS, and Nicktoons’ Edgar & Ellen.
Bandolik resides in Glencoe, IL and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Film/Videos Studies and Psychology from Purdue University, as well as a Certificate in Film from Sydney Film School.
