Founded by brothers, David Rudman and Adam Rudman, Spiffy Pictures is a creative development and production company specializing in both animated and live-action puppet-based entertainment for kids and families.
Known for its whimsical humor- and music-filled shows, the inventive award-winning Chicago-based company has created, produced, written, and directed series for PBS KIDS, Nickelodeon, Disney, MTV, Comedy Central, Sesame Street and Warner Brothers. Their projects include PBS KIDS’ critically acclaimed DonkeyHodie, a co-production with Fred Rogers Productions; PBS KIDS’ Emmy® Award-nominated and Environmental Media Award-winning animated series Nature Cat; Nick Jr.’s Emmy®Award and Prix Jeunesse-nominated Jack’s Big Music Show; Disney’s Emmy® Award-nominated Bunnytown; and Nick Jr.’s Parent’s Choice Award-winning Curious Buddies. David Rudman
Co-Founder
Emmy Award-winning producer, director, writer and puppeteer David Rudman is co-founder of Spiffy Pictures. A renowned Muppet performer, David is the puppeteer for Sesame Street’s Cookie Monster, Baby Bear and The Two-Headed Monster, and The Muppets’ Scooter, Janice and Beaker.
David currently serves as co-creator, executive producer, director, writer and puppeteer on PBS KIDS’ hit Emmy-nominated series, Donkey Hodie, a live-action puppet series produced in partnership with Fred Rogers Productions. He is also co-creator, executive producer, director and character designer of the Emmy-nominated and Environmental Media Award-winning hit animated series Nature Cat, currently in its fifth seasonon PBS KIDS.
David’s past co-creator, executive producer, director and performer credits include Nick Jr.’s Emmy-nominated Jack’s Big Music Show, Disney’s Emmy-nominated Bunnytown, and Nick Jr.’s Curious Buddies. He also served as a producer and director, and performed Scooby-Doo in Warner Brothers’ Scooby-Doo!: The Mystery Map.
David’s numerous television credits as a Muppet performer include The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Saturday Night Live and the Annual Kennedy Center Honors among many others. His film credits include Muppets Take Manhattan, Labyrinth, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Muppet Christmas Carol, Elmo in Grouchland, The Muppets, and Muppets Most Wanted.


Adam Rudman
Co-Founder
Emmy® Award–winning writer Adam Rudman is the co-founder of Spiffy
Pictures. A prolific storyteller, he has worked across classic animation,
puppet and live-action television, children’s books, and short films. He is a
seven-time Emmy® Award winner, with credits including Tom & Jerry,
Cyberchase, Scooby-Doo! Adventures: The Mystery Map, and Sesame
Street.
At Spiffy Pictures, Rudman serves as co-creator, executive producer, and
head writer of the series Donkey Hodie for PBS KIDS. He is also the head
writer of Carl the Collector, PBS KIDS’ first series centered on Autistic
characters. In addition, he is co-creator, executive producer, and head
writer of the Emmy Award–nominated and Environmental Media
Award–winning PBS KIDS’ series Nature Cat.
His additional television credits include co-creator, executive producer, and
head writer of Nick Jr.’s Emmy Award–nominated Jack’s Big Music Show,
as well as Disney’s Bunnytown and Nick Jr.’s Curious Buddies.
Beyond television, Rudman authored “The Search for the Power Orb,”
Scholastic’s first book based on Cyberchase. He also wrote and produced
the award-winning short film Notes, starring blues legend Clarence
“Gatemouth” Brown.
Rudman lives in Highland Park, Illinois, with his wife, four children, and
their three dogs. He holds a degree in American Studies from Lehigh
University.

Caroline Bandolik
VP-Production
Emmy Award-winning producer Caroline Bandolik is vice president of production for Spiffy Pictures. A veteran children’s television producer, Caroline currently serves as supervising producer on PBS KIDS’ hit Emmy-nominated series, Donkey Hodie, a live-action puppet series produced in partnership with Fred Rogers Productions. Additionally, she is the producer of PBS KIDS’ long-running Emmy-nominated and Environmental Media Award-winning hit animated series Nature Cat.
Caroline also currently serves as Executive Producer on the animated series “Carl the Collector,” PBS KIDS’ first show centering on autistic characters, which Spiffy produces.
Caroline’s additional producing credits include Nickelodeon’s Frankie & Frank, Martha Speaksand Arthur for WGBH/PBS, and Nicktoons’ Edgar & Ellen.
Scott Scornavacco
C.O.O.
As Chief Operating Officer of Spiffy Pictures, Scott guides the company’s business strategy and leads initiatives that support its creative and operational goals. He directs core functions including production operations, partnerships, finance, and technology infrastructure, fostering collaboration across teams. With a focus on innovation and long-term growth, Scott helps position Spiffy Pictures at the forefront of children’s educational entertainment.
